Our Story

Z-Specialty Products was founded in 1979 by Alan Zagurski — a young salesman with the drive to build something lasting for his family and his customers. What started as one man's commitment to quality and integrity grew into a company trusted by mechanics and shops for over 45 years.

Every formula we make was built the hard way — through trial and error, and by listening to the people actually using it. Alan didn't develop products in a lab disconnected from the shop floor. He developed them with his customers: testing, adjusting, and testing again based on what mechanics told him they needed. That's still how we work today.

For Alan, this was never just a business. It was built on loyalty, integrity, and community — values that shaped how he treated his employees and his customers alike. Employees weren't just workers; they were part of the Z Co. family. Customers weren't just clients; they were partners in a shared journey.

Alan passed away in January 2024. Today, his daughter Sarah and her mother carry the company forward, running it the way he built it — real formulas, built for the people who do the work, tested and improved with the same customers who've trusted this company for decades.

His spirit of dedication is still what drives us. Every batch we mix, every relationship we build, is part of his legacy.
